Table Rock is the largest of the Branson area lakes. Clear deep waters provide excellent Bass and Crappie fishing!

Black bass - good fishing on jigs, plastic worms & minnows

Bluegill - good fishing on night crawlers

Crappie - good fishing on jigs & minnows

Walleye - slow fishing

All other species good fishing

Table Rock (James River arm) fishing conditions: Good - Average        Temp: 85 degrees        Water Conditions: Steady, Clear

Black Bass - good fishing on soft baits & blue crankbaits

Bluegill - good fishing on night crawlers

Lake Taneycomo - Branson, Missouri (Report made on 09/02/2004)

The coldest water in the Ozarks! Best Trout fishing in Mid America! Both Rainbow and Brown Trout are stocked into Lake Taneycomo from the Missouri Department of Conservation's Shepherd of the Hills Hatchery. Rainbows from 2 pounds to 20 pounds can be caught. Browns must be 20 inches in length and many are taken every day. The lower arm of Lake Taneycomo also offers great Bass fishing.

Lake Taneycomo fishing conditions: Fair-Good        Temp: 48 degrees        Water Conditions: normal.

Brown trout - good fishing on the upper end using flies. Middle to lower end good fishing using corn and power baits.

Rainbow trout - good on power eggs and power baits, ranging from 15"-18" in length on the lower end.

A few fish are being caught in the management area, slow trolling white Rooster Tails.

Some Bass are being caught on minnows and crawfish. Best Bass fishing from Power Site Dam to mile marker 10.

All other species good fishing

Bull Shoals Lake - Forsyth, Missouri (Report made on 09/02/2004)

Bull Shoals Lake fishing conditions: Good-Slow        Temp: 80 degrees        Water Conditions: Steady, Clear

Black bass - Fair fishing on artificial lures and minnows

White Bass - Fair fishing on minnows

Bluegill - Good on night crawlers and artificial lures

Crappie - Slow to good fishing on minnows

Walleye - Fair fishing

Catfish - Good fishing on night crawlers and dough baits

All other species slow
